My name is Fr. Matthew Guidi.
I was born in Springfield in 1981 which makes me 43 years old. I'm the oldest of six children. I attended Catholic schools my entire life. I entered St. John's Seminary in Brighton in 2006. I graduated from St. John's and got ordained for the Diocese of Springfield on June 2, 2012. I just recently celebrated my 13th anniversary to the priesthood of Jesus Christ. I truly love being a priest and bringing the saving message of Christ and His Church to others. St. Mary, Mother of the Church Parish will be my seventh assignment over the span of 13 years. I love the Berkshires! I look forward to meeting new people and shepherding to God's holy people in these surrounding towns. I also look forward to ministering to and assisting at St. Mary's School. Please keep me in your prayers as I begin this new assignment. I will also keep all you in my daily thoughts and prayers.
