St. Mary's School 8th Graders Unveil their Stained Glass Creations

The 8th Graders at St. Mary's School have been working hard throughout the school year creating stained glass windows. Each year St. Mary's Pastor, Fr. Jack Sheaffer, teaches the students a craft he began learning in St. Louis, MO back in 1992.

The students design their own windows, cut the glass and fit the metal that holds it all in place. Fr. Sheaffer finishes the windows by soldering the metal in place. However, this year, a few students ventured to learn how to solder a few of the metal joints.

Today, the students held a reception for patrons of the stained glass program and unveiled their works of art. Their work was quite impressive, to say the least.
